QTAC is a not-for-profit company focused on connecting people with opportunities. We are driven by our charitable purpose of enabling greater participation in education by minimising the barriers to applying for tertiary study.  

Thanks to the experience and vision of our team, we’ve been introducing innovative programs, technology and solutions and expanding the breadth of our services. This diversification is helping drive more revenue towards our purpose of making opportunities more accessible.  

With a governing Board comprising representatives from 7 Queensland universities and an independent Chair, James Downing, the Board is responsible for determining QTAC’s strategies for operations, future development and oversees risks and regulatory activities.  

The Board is advised by QTAC’s executive team. 

Chief Executive Officer

Dr John Griffiths

Dr John Griffiths commenced the role of Chief Executive Officer of Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre in 2011. Engaged fully in Australia’s education industry, John currently is on the Senior Review Steering Committee of the Queensland Assessment and Curriculum Authority (QCAA) and Chair of The Australasian Conference of Tertiary Admission Centre’s  (ACTAC).

Lisa joined QTAC’s executive in 2021, bringing over 12 years’ experience in senior leadership roles across a diverse range of industries and organisations in private, public and not-for-profit sectors. 

Chris Jack

Chief Experience Officer

Chris is a highly skilled and insightful leader with a demonstrated talent for understanding how all aspects of an organisation fit together to influence the customer experience.  

Kristie Fankhauser 

Chief Growth Officer

Kristie is a highly creative and strategic leader with a unique combination of commercial and interpersonal skills. 

Paul Reidy 

Chief Information Officer 

With more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry, Paul has assessed, developed and implemented a variety of IT systems and programs across the government, education, logistics, entertainment, insurance and consulting industries.
