Pharmacology and toxicology professionals require an understanding of the properties of chemicals and how they interact with biological systems. You’ll learn about drugs and poisons, how they act on the body, and how to develop new medicines. You’ll learn through hands-on experience in state-of-the-art facilities such as our immersive virtual learning environment, and formulation, pharmacology and analytical laboratories. This degree has a strong jobs and industry focus, providing a pathway to many new careers in pharmacology, toxicology or drug research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other health industries. Its focus on pharmacology will also provide you with an excellent foundation if you are considering a degree in an area such as medicine (Doctor of Medicine), pharmacy (Master of Pharmacy), dentistry (Bachelor of Dental Health Science) or medical research (Master of Medical Research).
