Course outline

In this degree, you’ll learn from internationally recognised experts and industry leaders who bring their authentic and compelling crime experiences to your study. Learn about the causes of crime and society’s response through the justice system while drawing on knowledge from the fields of psychology, law, sociology, politics and social work. Learn about current trends in crime and study courses about police, courts and criminal law, as well as the role mental health plays in crime. Choose to specialise with elective courses in policing, working with offenders and victims, youth justice, and crime analysis and investigation. Take advantage of our industry connections to build professional skills and critical networks. In your final year, you’ll have the opportunity to complete a professional placement experience. You’ll be mentored one-on-one by criminology experts and can select an internship to suit your interests from a diverse range of research projects.
