Do I have to also apply for my course?

Yes, you will still need to apply for your course and this can be done through the institution you wish to study or your local tertiary admissions centre.

What if I get accepted to study a different course to the one that I nominated on the Scholarships application form?

Simply email us with confirmation of the course you were offered and if it is an Eligible Course of Study, you can still receive a Scholarship provided you meet all other eligibility criteria.

Do I have to apply for a scholarship for every course preference?

You are required to submit only one Scholarship application. QTAC will verify your enrolment details to ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria.

Can I apply for a Round 4 scholarship if I have already started my course?

Scholarships in Round 4 are available to students who commence/d their study at anytime during 2020. If you have commenced your current study prior to 2020, you would not be eligible to receive a scholarship payment for Round 4.

The Round 4 Program Guidelines (including any changes to eligibility) apply only to Round 4 applicants and are not to be applied retrospectively to Rounds 1, 2 or 3.

How many scholarships are offered?

A total of 1100 Scholarships will be made to eligible applicants throughout 2020.

I didn't get a Scholarship offer. Can I reapply?

Yes, you can reapply for a Scholarship at the next admission cycle if your circumstances have changed. Please check the Key Dates for more information.

My course is longer than four years full-time. Am I still eligible?

The Scholarship supports a maximum of four years full-time (or part-time equivalent) of study. Even if your course is longer than this duration, you can still apply and receive a Scholarship provided you meet all the eligibility criteria.

I have already started a course and want to transfer to another course. Am I still eligible?

Yes, you may still be considered for a Scholarship if you meet all other eligibility criteria.

I’m from a rural area, but I’m moving to a city to study. Can I still apply?

Yes! You can still apply. We take into account your location at the time of your application.

I don’t receive Centrelink payments, am I eligible?

You could be. You just need to prove financial need by providing evidence to us including the last 8 weeks of your pay slips and the previous year’s tax return.
