Course outline

The University Preparation Program provides a unique opportunity to learners who have not completed Year 12 or have not recently engaged in formal studies. You will develop your academic skills and knowledge through studying key foundational subjects that support your future learning and transition to university.

Upon successful completion you will be able to directly progress to one of the following single degrees at QUT:

  • Bachelor of Business
  • Bachelor of Communication
  • Bachelor of Creative Industries
  • Bachelor of Design (Fashion, Industrial Design, Interactive Design, and Visual Communication)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments
  • Bachelor of Human Services
  • Bachelor of Information Technology
  • Bachelor of Justice
  • Bachelor of Public Health
  • Bachelor of Science
  • Bachelor of Social Work.

Admissions Criteria

Prerequisites

Applicant must be 16; Completion of Year 12 or attained age 18 years; No prior study

Additional entry requirements

This program is open to applicants who have not previously studied at university and do not have a completed Certificate III or higher qualification.

The program is not available to current/recent secondary school students.
