Course outline

The course is designed to provide students with a basic introduction to the Bible and an understanding of Christian spiritual transformation. It allows them to gain the foundational knowledge, skills and abilities required in the communication and presentation of sound biblical knowledge commensurate with entry level service in church and para church organisations in fields such as youth and children’s ministry, mission, social and pastoral care, preaching and teaching or church ministry engagement. Students can complete the course as a stand-alone qualification or use it to gain advanced standing into the Diploma of Ministry or the Bachelor of Ministry. Modes of study can be combined (contact CHC for more information).

Note

The availability of this course will be confirmed following a decision by the Department of Education, Skills and Employment regarding the extension of the Undergraduate Certificate category in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

Completion of Year 12 or attained age 17 years; Pastoral reference
