This is a two-year teacher preparation program for students who already hold a tertiary degree and who aspire to become teachers. This course offers practical, school-based learning and draws on the latest research into effective teaching methods, ensuring graduates are well equipped to meet the challenges of a teaching career. Students learn to cooperatively and critically plan, design, implement and review relevant teaching programs, including developing teaching and learning strategies and curriculum materials within two specialist areas. This course develops knowledge and skills, and the application of knowledge and skills required at masters level in education. Study subjects that address educational theories and discipline specific curriculum and pedagogical studies, and build skills to independently research and apply established theories to educational practice.
