This is a two-year teacher preparation program for students who already hold a tertiary degree. This course focuses on foundational studies in education and pedagogy and studies relevant to the primary school curriculum with an emphasis on literacy/English language and numeracy. Curriculum study areas include the arts, English, geography, health and physical education, history, ICT, mathematics, and science. Students must attend prescribed professional placements in primary schools during the course. This course is nationally accredited through the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) in association with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
