Increase your hospitality skills and learn how to solve complex problems in a team environment. Take the next step in your career and get the skills you need to take on a management role in the hospitality industry. This course covers managerial skills including rostering, budgeting, marketing, and people management. Students will also learn customer service skills in our training restaurants, as well as how to operate a bar and prepare espresso coffee. This qualification will improve a graduates ability to lead and manage teams in the hospitality industry. Students will also graduate with the skills required to work as a restaurant manager, sous chef or motel manager.

The Diploma of Hospitality Management can be combined with other programs as listed below to attain the awards of Diploma of Hospitality Management from TAFE Queensland and the relevant degree from the university. Students undertake initial study at TAFE Queensland and complete the degree at the relevant university. Duration, location, mode of study, semester intake, electives and specialisations may vary. All mandatory university admission and English language requirements must be met before university enrolment is finalised. For more information contact the relevant university. Note: TAFE Queensland students making transition to the degree may need to wait six months to start with the semester one university intake.
To apply for a combined diploma/degree, applicants must select the Diploma of Hospitality Management for the relevant TAFE Queensland location on their application and nominate their preferred degree/university (one only). Applicants can list the stand alone diploma or the combined program but not both. Listing more than one is not needed because they have the same eligibility and ATAR/rank requirements.
