The Diploma of Counselling and Communication Skills develops your theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to secure employment opportunities in the community sector.

You’ll develop an understanding of human behaviour at different stages, behavioural problems and strategies for positive behaviour management, impact of society and culture, and also
critically review a range of theories in counselling, relate counselling theory to issues in counselling, develop an ethical approach to counselling and develop skills to assess, and manage and refer clients accordingly.

The Diploma of Counselling and Communication Skills has been designed to prepare you for employment in a role which leverages interpersonal and human-connection skills. Upon
graduation, you have the opportunity to begin working in the industry or continue your studies in the Bachelor of Counselling.
