Course outline

The Diploma in Creative Industries is primarily a pathway for entry to four bachelor degrees within Creative Industries – Bachelor of Creative Industries, Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Communication and Bachelor of Fine Arts (excluding the Acting major). You will gain coherent and integrated theoretical, technical and practical knowledge with an emphasis on developing technical, analytical, decision-making, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills with real world application.

The QUT Offer Guarantee does not apply to this course.

Combined diploma/degrees

Upon completion of this diploma, you will be automatically offered a place in the single degrees of Bachelor of Communication, Bachelor of Creative Industries, Bachelor of Design, and the Bachelor of Fine Arts (excluding the Acting major). Your completed diploma will provide up to 96 credit points (1 year) advanced standing to each degree.

Prerequisites

Applicant must be 16; Completion of Year 12 or attained age 18 years

Assumed knowledge

English or Literature, or English and Literature Extension, or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 & 4, C)
