Course outline

This course equips students with practical skills in the various disciplines relevant to exercise and sport sciences such as anatomy and physiology, nutrition, exercise physiology, biomechanics, exercise and sport psychology, motor control and learning, and exercise prescription and delivery. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of the processes and mechanisms of the human body as they relate to exercise and sport sciences and have the flexibility to pursue an area of interest, with a choice of minor in biomedical sciences, secondary teaching, or management and business. Note

Students studying online will be required to attend compulsory residential schools for some units.

Other requirements

Across the three-year course, students will complete up to 150 hours of work-integrated learning through voluntary experience and observation in professional practice placements, working with the general population, sporting populations, and rehabilitation or special populations. Prerequisites

English, Literature, English and Literature Extension or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 and 4, C); Completion of Year 12 or attained age 17 years
