Course outline

Discover how to critically assess and manage complex environmental problems. Focus on techniques and approaches that integrate the environmental and the social sciences. Study biology, ecology and geography, economics, business, and legal and policy analysis. Develop multidisciplinary skills in management, decision-making and problem solving. Learn to assess environmental problems and develop ways to manage and solve them. Students consolidate their knowledge with a full semester of industry placement and practical experience in their third year. They experience a range of natural and urban environments during field work. In their final year they undertake an in-depth research project or industry placement. Students take an eight-day field trip and 270 hours of industry placement within Australia.
