This program arms students with the technical and analytical skills for a career in one of Australia’s high demanding and most rapidly changing industries. Students acquire knowledge of innovative technologies including robotic total stations, drones satellite imagery and laser measurement systems. Students develop critical insights into spatial science through study of surveying, mapping, engineering systems, land development, town planning, environmental management, land law, and sustainable development. This program is a stepping stone to a bachelor’s degree in spatial science, spatial science technology, or urban and regional planning. For more program information, visit Associate Degree of Surveying at UniSQ.
Students are required to undertake practical and professional activities relevant to their program through enrolment in a series of Practice courses in the program. External students must attend at least one, week-long, residential school in Toowoomba during most years of the program.
Attendance at field excursions and practice courses in the form of residential schools is compulsory.
