The Undergraduate Certificate in Allied Health Assistance provides entry-level skills to work as an allied health assistant or in related fields. Allied health assistants work under the supervision of allied health professionals (such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians and podiatrists) to implement programs, group activities and one-on-one supports for people with disabilities and health conditions. They also support the day-to-day running of the practice, managing aspects such as bookings and equipment.
In this program you will learn about the anatomical, physiological, psychological and sociological factors influencing human function, and understand the role of allied health assistants in the context of the Australian health system.
