This course develops expertise in identifying occupational health and safety hazards in the workplace. Studies equip students with knowledge, skills and initiatives in occupational hygiene, workplace rehabilitation, ergonomics, safety, and occupational health and safety management. Training will include decision making, problem-solving and management skills that are highly desired by employers. The course provides students with a variety of hands-on experiences, including participation in worksite visits and 120 hours of work placement, ensuring graduates are work ready. This course requires attendance at compulsory residential schools.

Graduates will be qualified to work in areas such as ergonomics, industrial safety, occupational hygiene and risk management.
Graduates may be eligible to apply for Chartered Professional Membership with the Safety Institute of Australia once they have completed the appropriate years of service.
