Course outline

This program equips students with the technical knowledge and skills to practise as graduate engineering technologists. Students benefit from hands-on experience, work with professional equipment and learn the highly sought-after skills they need to be successful in the engineering industry. Emphasis is placed on learning through project work and engaging with industry specialists to promote learning practical knowledge. Note

External students must attend at least one, week-long, residential school during most years of the program.

Majors

Toowoomba or external: agricultural engineering; civil engineering; electrical and electronic engineering; environmental engineering; infrastructure management engineering; mechanical engineering. Springfield: civil engineering; electrical and electronic engineering; infrastructure management engineering; mechanical engineering.

Other requirements

Students must complete 45 days of work experience in an engineering workplace.

English, Literature, English and Literature Extension or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 and 4, C); Mathematical Methods (Units 3 and 4, C)
