I can't reset my password. What do I do?

if you're having trouble resetting your password, follow the steps below:

  1. Delete all QTAC emails in your inbox
  2. Refresh your browser
  3. Go to Applicant Log in and enter your email address and your usual password
  4. Select 'resend temporary password'
  5. Copy the temporary password from your inbox to the black space on the QTAC website
  6. Enter a new password, adhering to the password requirements (ie at least six characters, one upper-case, one lower-case, one number, and one special character eg Qtac2018!)
  7. Retype this password; you should now be able to log in.

You can then change your password again after you log in.

I'm locked out of my account. How do I get in?

If you're locked out of your account, you need to reset your password.

Why won't the application accept my student number? 

If you're in Year 12 in Queensland, you must enter your Learner Unique Identifier (LUI) number to complete your application. 

Find your LUI here.

The application won't accept your Education Queensland ID (EQID) or Unique Student Identifier (USI).  

Do I need to add my UMAT information?

You do not need to enter your UMAT candidate number into your application, as the university will retrieve this for you automatically.

Should I create more than one account?

You should not create more than one account. If you need to change your preferences, do so in your current account.

Refunds are not given for duplicate applications.

Why am I having problems applying?

Are you using a mobile phone? If so, Application Services isn't compatible with mobiles.

Where do I go to pay my application fees by credit card?

  1. Go to Applicant Log in.
  2. Log in with the email address listed in your application and your password.
  3. Once in your application go to 'My Application'.
  4. Go to 'Application Summary', then click 'continue'.
  5. You will be taken to the online payment page to pay by credit card.

Where do I change the email address on my application?

  1. Go to Applicant Log in.
  2. Log in with the email address listed in your application and your password.
  3. Once in your application go to 'My Account'.
  4. Next go to 'Account information' and click 'View or Edit'.
  5. Click 'Edit' to change your email address.
  6. Click 'Save'.

I applied for semester 2, 2018, do I need to create a new account to apply for 2018/2019?

Use the account you already created. Simply access it with your email address and password.

Lodge your new application within this original account.

How long is my account valid for?

Your account is valid for five years. 

Note: Applications are only valid for one year ie between August 2018 and July 2019. 

Why is the Applicant Log In not displaying?

PC users

You may need to update to the latest version of your browser.

Mac users

If you are using a Mac and Safari, you need Safari v. 7 or above to run our new application services.

Your OS X will need to be at v. 10.9 (Mavericks) to use Safari 7.

You should be able to upgrade for free to OS X Yosemite that will also update your Safari to v. 8.

Tablet users

If you are using an Android tablet, we recommend Chrome to access our services.
