Be equipped for success in a rapidly changing world by choosing a portfolio of arts and science specialisations. Students expand their employment options, combine diverse interests or follow specific career goals. Structure your program within each degree component to include majors in areas of interest and a range of electives. Study one or two scientific disciplines to gain a broad knowledge. UQ has one of the broadest selections of science disciplines in Australia. Then choose subjects in the core disciplines of humanities and social sciences. These help to develop skills in written communication, creativity, problem-solving and critical thinking. Choose from more than 80 study areas in the sciences, arts, humanities and more. The skills and knowledge gained are valuable assets in the changing world of work. Some popular combinations include languages and any science major or archaeological science and anthropology. Other complimentary areas include science and communication or journalism, science and criminology, science and music, and psychology and neuroscience. Students may also choose to progress into further research with a one year Honours program in either Arts or Science. For more information, visit Bachelors of
