Midwives play a pivotal role in safely guiding expectant women and parents through pregnancy, birth, and the weeks that follow. The Bachelor of Midwifery (Honours) will prepare students for this challenging and rewarding career. Students will undertake extensive supervised practical experience throughout the program, and during their final year, they will extend their clinical knowledge to ensure they meet the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia accreditation standards. This program is delivered in small group-based clinical teaching sessions in simulated centres, and through workshops at UQ St Lucia. The program is also integrated with hospital placements.
