Course outline

Open doors to rewarding career opportunities by combining a passion for analytics and mathematics with a grounding in the principles of business management and leadership. Develop comprehensive, specialised knowledge and sophisticated application of mathematics. Choose from core subjects in calculus and linear algebra. Study financial mathematics, decision science and operations research. Business studies develop core skills in management, marketing and finance. Select specialist areas of study including leadership and management science, innovation and entrepreneurship, business economics, business information systems, human resources, international business and marketing. Students enhance and apply their skills during practical industry placements or internships accessing UQ’s local and global networks. English, Literature, English and Literature Extension or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 and 4, C); Mathematical Methods (Units 3 and 4, C)

Recommended study
Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 and 4, C) is recommended. Students studying Specialist Mathematics will have increased flexibility in their studies.
