Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Science
The University of Queensland - St Lucia

Course outline

This dual degree combines engineering at an honours level with complementary areas of science, to gain interdisciplinary skills and create career choices across multiple sectors. Students select from an array of science majors that will teach them how to work independently, perform critical experiments, analyse data and communicate results. In the engineering component students develop their technical skills through a core specialisation and have the option to complement the specialisation with a major or minor in one of the new and emerging areas of engineering. Students graduate with highly developed knowledge in a specialist area, superior technical abilities, and advanced independent thinking and communication skills. For more information, visit Bachelors of Engineering (Hons)/Science at UQ.

Note

Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 and 4, C) is recommended for this program. Students without Specialist Mathematics or equivalent may be required to undertake preparatory courses which may not enable the program to be completed in the minimum time frame without overloading or undertaking summer study.

Majors

Refer to Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) and Bachelor of Science.

Other requirements

All engineering students must complete 450 hours of engineering professional practice prior to graduation.
