Course outline

This course is perfect for those who want to work with young people in a diverse range of settings. This course provides learners with the practical knowledge needed to engage respectfully with young people and identify and respond to people in crisis. Students learn to conduct group activities, manage case loads, and to develop and implement procedures to help young people address their needs.

Completion of Year 12 or attained Year 12 leaving age

Prior to industry placement students may need to receive and provide evidence of the following checks, Working with Children Check (Blue Card in Queensland) and Australian Federal Police Check carried out no longer than three (3) months prior to commencement of your course.
