Course outline

This diploma course will provide students with the specialised skills and knowledge to be an expert event manager. TAFE Queensland’s highly-experienced team of industry professionals will ensure students gain hands-on and theoretical knowledge in the workplace and access to our state-of-the-art facilities using the latest industry software. This course also provides students with the specialised skills and knowledge to lead and manage people, coordinate marketing activities, creatively collaborate and manage financial budgets.

Applicants offered a place in this course who are not eligible for a subsidised enrolment will pay full fee. TAFE Queensland, Cairns will have rolling commencement dates throughout 2024/2025.

Prerequisites

Completion of Year 12 or attained Year 12 leaving age

Recommended study
Successful completion of a Certificate II or III in Tourism, Certificate III in Travel, Certificate III in Events or a Certificate III in Hospitality. Relevant work experience in the service industries would also be beneficial.
