In their mathematics studies students develop their comprehensive specialised knowledge and sophisticated application of mathematics. Select from over 60 courses in mathematics and statistics. Solve data driven problems in the physical and biological sciences, engineering, information technology, economics and business. Students apply critical thinking and problem solving skills and broaden their career prospects during practical industry projects, placements, research projects, internships or international study opportunities through UQ’s local and global networks. Graduates are employed for their interdisciplinary knowledge and advanced quantitative analytic skills to play a key role at the forefront of new developments and to address today’s global challenges.
