Course outline

Health Science provides an understanding of the human body and the science underpinning being a health practitioner. At Griffith, you’re joining a forward-thinking university that shares your passion for making a difference. Build a strong foundation in human biology, including anatomy, physiology, chemistry, cell biology, and genetics, before refining your analytical, evaluative, and communication skills. Tailor your studies through your choice of major and electives and learn in state-of-the-art facilities, with immersive simulated teaching environments, virtual reality technology and clinical labs. Take advantage of our strong industry connections for practical experience including capstone courses in evidence-based practice and through completion of a BioHealth Project. This project provides an authentic learning experience, working directly with industry partners on real projects. In your final-year, apply your knowledge to solve practical problems, while building valuable connections for your future career. You’ll develop your skills through an interprofessional approach, collaborating with students from various health fields. This degree provides a strong foundation for graduate-entry programs, including the Doctor of Medicine. For more course information, visit Bachelor of Health Science at GU.
