As an introduction to the fundamentals of film and TV, the Diploma of Film & Television Production will let you explore cinematography, editing, lighting, location, sound recording, sound design, screenwriting and production management, providing you with the introductory knowledge and skills to move into entry level roles with the film & TV industry. Gain hands-on skills and professional insights crewing on an industry production and even produce your own documentary.
We take film and TV seriously at JMC, with studios full of the best tech in the trade. You’ll have access to our on-campus film & TV studio fitted out with highly sophisticated equipment, including Blackmagic Design Ursa Broadcast G2 cameras, and a green-screen. Additionally, you will access JMC’s editing suites, colour grading room including powerful iMac Pros and Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve and full student loan facilities with lenses, cameras, lights and sound equipment available.
JMC Academy
Internships are the perfect opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience and learn how the industry really operates. At JMC we have a dedicated Internship Program which provides students the opportunity to work in real-life industry roles.
On completion of the Diploma Program, graduates can continue on in the program to complete an Associate Degree (16 months) or the Bachelor’s Degree (2 years).
All JMC Bachelor Degree graduates are eligible to apply for entry into JMC Academy’s Master of Creative Industries, or relevant post-grad qualification at any Australian university.

Domestic students have the option of paying tuition fees prior to the commencement of each trimester or deferring payment through FEE-HELP.
