Course outline

This course will provide students with the specialised skills and knowledge to flourish within the design, manufacturing, wholesale or retail areas of the fashion industry. This course will also help students gain the advanced skills to work independently or collaboratively within a constantly evolving sector. Students also develop advanced understanding of design processes and product development and technical production skills to support management and fashion businesses. TAFE Queensland’s fashion training centres are equipped with numerous sewing machines, overlockers, computer labs and cutting rooms; everything you need is at your fingertips to bring your creations to life and ready to hit the runway. TAFE Queensland graduates have gone on to create or work for a host of successful labels including Billabong, Marc Jacobs, Easton Pearson and Black Milk Clothing.
