Prepare for a career in global conservation and wildlife management. Study native and exotic amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals, biodiversity and human-wildlife interactions. Build scientific knowledge in animal biology, wildlife anatomy and physiology, reproductive biology, breeding and genetics, nutrition, and health. Learn to manage wild animals and to deliver and assess management programs for captive and free roaming wildlife with leading wildlife scientists and biologists. Acquire skills in wildlife trapping, identification and animal handling. Gain hands-on experience during industry placements at zoos, sanctuaries and wildlife parks. Students are exposed to animals and agricultural environments as part of their learning. Immunisation against Q fever is mandatory and students will be required to provide evidence of immunisation upon commencement of the program. Immunisation against tetanus is recommended.
