Course outline

Combine theory with hands-on experience to learn how to create and analyse computer-based systems, combined with a practical grounding in legal theory in a broad range of areas important to the technology industry. In the law component students develop personal and professional skills that can transfer across a wide range of careers in technology. In the computer science component, students gain the solid technological foundations and skills to play a critical role in creating, developing, implementing and evaluating new systems and technology for use in our society. Graduate with an internationally respected qualification in law and advanced knowledge and technical skills in computer science – skills in high demand from some of the world’s biggest corporations. Specialist Mathematics is recommended for this program. Students without Specialist Mathematics or equivalent may be required to undertake preparatory courses which may not enable the program to be completed in the minimum time frame without overloading or undertaking summer study.
