This course offers a combination of business and law skills that provides a broad base of commercial knowledge. The business component is designed to inspire you to realise your full potential to think entrepreneurial and to ethically and sustainably shape the future of business. Early in the course, students will develop core business capabilities including critical thinking, professional communication, digital and technological fluency, teamwork, and global citizenship. You then undertake focused and authentic study in your chosen business discipline, engaging with the real world of business through work-integrated learning, projects and placements. In the law component, you develop advanced legal research and writing skills, critical analysis and skills in interviewing, advocacy and dispute resolution. The course covers all academic units required for admission to legal practice and offers a range of law electives to align with career aims. The accountancy major provides formal recognition from peak bodies in both professions. Business units are taken in conjunction with law units throughout the first four years of the course, with law units only in the final semester.
