This double degree combining biomedical science with law prepares you to work as part of multidisciplinary teams in biomedical research, development and commercialisation. The demand for specialists who have knowledge and skills across a number of these disciplines is increasing across local and international markets. You complete core science units before selecting a major. In the law component, you develop advanced legal research and writing skills, critical analysis and skills in interviewing, advocacy and dispute resolution. As a graduate, you can work in legal environments as a solicitor, barrister, in-house counsel, government lawyer or mediator. Graduates can also work in consultancy through the innovation and commercialisation of infrastructure including, for example, regulation, compliance and clinical trials. The course covers all academic subjects required for admission to legal practice and offers selection of a science major.
