Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws
James Cook University - Townsville

Course outline

Students acquire the academic qualification for admission to practise as a lawyer. The course is suitable for students wanting legal knowledge and skills for work in other occupations. First year provides students with foundational skills and knowledge for the study of law. In final year, students choose from electives that enable them to develop specialist knowledge through the study of legal issues directly affecting society. When combined with an arts major, students graduate with a broad knowledge of society and culture, and key skills in communication, research and critical analysis. Accredited by the Legal Practitioners Admissions Board and Chief Justice.
JCU Offer Guarantee: JCU offers guaranteed admissions to most courses if a minimum ATAR is achieved. Learn more here: Guaranteed Admission at JCU.
