The Bachelor of Architectural Technology prepares you to design and document innovative buildings using new and emerging digital technologies. The first course of its kind in Australia, you will gain expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modelling (BIM), giving you the skills required for a successful career in the built environment industry. The course will teach you the architectural fundamentals required to design high performing buildings, including concept development, digital modelling and construction documentation. Throughout the course, you will learn the core digital, material and structural principles applied to designing and documenting buildings to industry specification.
Explore energy efficiency, sustainable performance and societal concerns. You will learn to leverage the latest CAD software in a BIM approach to propose new built environments that are comprised of valuable physical and digital layers of experience.
Mentored by industry experts, you will undertake live client briefs during your studies which will develop your practice in a professional design environment.
