Develop practical business skills and learn to manage native and exotic animals in the wild or in captivity. They access UQ’s specialist animal research and veterinary facilities and study wildlife anatomy and physiology, captive breeding, reproduction, nutrition, health, husbandry, ecology, welfare and behaviour. Students learn from specialists in agribusiness, business management and marketing to develop business skills. The majority of courses are based at Gatton with some courses offered at St Lucia.

Students are exposed to animals and agricultural environments as part of their learning. Immunisation against Q fever is mandatory and students will be required to provide evidence of immunisation upon commencement of the program. Immunisation against tetanus is recommended.
