Course outline

Post-production specialisation: This diploma is ideal for creative people seeking employment in post-production, including areas such as video editing, 3D modelling, 3D animation and visual effects. This course will provide students with the advanced skills required to work within this creatively challenging sector. Enhance skills and job prospects by choosing to specialise in post-production and learn how to edit video, develop concept art and create, texture and animate 3D models. Students will also learn how to composite green screen footage, create titles, make set extensions and create visual effects. Production Management specialisation: Learn the specialist skills needed to be a filmmaker, editor, camera person, production manager or technical director. This diploma is ideal for creative people seeking employment in the film and television industries. This course will provide students with the advanced skills required to work within this creatively challenging sector. Enhance your skills and job prospects by choosing to specialise in production management and learn how to develop story lines and story boards, record sound and edit productions. Bachelor of Digital Media: The degree course will prepare students to tell the stories that matter, while developing the creative and production skills required to forge a career in today’s fast-paced media environment. Students will develop skills in visual communication and design, digital video production and storytelling, journalism and news writing, and media theory and analysis.

Applicants offered a place in the diploma course who are not eligible for a subsidised enrolment will pay full fee. This dual award qualification is delivered in partnership with Southern Cross University. The degree is a Commonwealth supported place.
