Take the next step in your web development career with this diploma course. Students will learn the art of designing, building and managing websites and begin a career in coding with a position as a web developer. In this specialisation students will learn how to build and create dynamic websites and web pages. Students will also learn how to match ICT needs and provide strategic direction to business, including how to promote workplace cyber security. Successful completion of this course will qualify graduates to launch their career in the IT industry as an in-house or independent web developer. It will also provide graduates with the foundation skills needed to undertake further studies in your field.

Combined diploma/degrees

The Diploma of Information Technology (Front End Web Development) can be combined with other programs as listed below to attain the awards of Diploma of Information Technology (Front End Web Development) from TAFE Queensland and the relevant degree from the university. Students undertake initial study at TAFE Queensland and complete the degree at the relevant university. Duration, location, mode of study, semester intake, electives and specialisations may vary. All mandatory university admission and English language requirements must be met before university enrolment is finalised. For more information contact the relevant university. Note: TAFE Queensland students making transition to the degree may need to wait six months to start with the semester one university intake.

To apply for a combined diploma/degree, applicants must select the Diploma of Information Technology (Front End Web Development) for the relevant TAFE Queensland location on their application and nominate their preferred degree/university (one only). Applicants can list the stand alone diploma or the combined program but not both. Listing more than one is not needed because they have the same eligibility and ATAR/rank requirements.
