Diploma of Information Technology (Advanced Networking and Cloud Engineering specialisation): In this diploma students will learn how to install and manage complex ICT environments and manage network security. Students will also learn how to use code to implement cloud infrastructure, and how to manage infrastructure in cloud environments. Bachelor of Information Technology: The degree prepares skilled graduates for a myriad of industries. The program focuses on the development of web-based business applications and includes an optional internship. Students undertake studies in programming, systems analysis and design, cyber security, database development, networking and communications theory. Students also learn about issues confronting the information and communications technology industry, including employer obligations, employee rights, impacts on society, and future directions of the industry.
This combined qualification leads to the awards of the Diploma of Information Technology (Advanced Networking and Cloud Engineering specialisation) and Bachelor of Information Technology. The degree is delivered by TAFE Queensland in partnership with Southern Cross University. Applicants offered a place in the diploma course who are not eligible for a subsidised enrolment will pay full fee.
