In the higher education diploma year, students develop fundamental academic skills and cement their knowledge in core concepts required for a career in health. On successful completion of the diploma, if meeting all criteria, students progress into the Bachelor of Paramedicine with partial credit.This degree prepares students to work as paramedics in a range of settings. Students develop foundational knowledge in human body systems, general paramedic practice, management of a variety of conditions and situations including trauma, medical, mental health, maternity, and major incident management. Once graduated, students work with individuals, groups and communities in and out of the hospital setting to achieve positive outcomes for patients.
