This program prepares students with fundamental academic skills and cements their knowledge in foundation engineering subjects. On successful completion of the diploma, students progress into the bachelor degree with 60 credit points. The degree builds vital knowledge in fields such as mathematics, computer systems, engineering principles and information systems. Students address the key social and professional issues facing software engineers as the 21st century – and humanity’s complex relationship with devices – continues to develop. In year two, students explore computer algorithms, object-oriented programming, business analysis and computer network essentials. Along the way, students gain skills in fields such as mobile app development, network security and project management.
