The higher education Diploma of Educational Studies allows successful students to transition into the Bachelor of Education by providing the prerequisite knowledge and skills required to meet entry requirements. Students develop critical and reflective thinking skills to understand the complexities of what it means to be a teacher in today’s world. By continuing studies in the Bachelor of Education degree, students meet the national accreditation requirements of the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership and can choose to be equipped to teach in either primary or secondary settings. For more course information, visit Diploma of Educational Studies or see listing for the combined diploma degree.
Subject to satisfactory completion of the Diploma of Educational Studies and meeting the Non-Academic Requirements for Teacher Entry (NARTE), students are eligible for up to 60/70 credit points into the Bachelor of Education at Griffith University. The amount of credit available depends on the choice of major within the degree. Contact Griffith College for more details.
