Course outline

Establish your career in business and management with this dual diploma and gain the advanced skills and specialised knowledge needed to work at a strategic level. Throughout this course students will be mentored in team leadership and management, discover how to utilise emotional intelligence to maximise team outcomes, and learn how to develop and implement an operational plan to facilitate effective workplace practices. Students will also cover topics including communicating with influence, project work, workforce planning management, and risk management.

Combined diploma/degrees

The Diploma of Business/Diploma of Leadership and Management can be combined with other programs as listed below to attain the awards of Diploma of Business/Diploma of Leadership and Management from TAFE Queensland and the relevant degree from the university. Students undertake initial study at TAFE Queensland and complete the degree at the relevant university. Duration, location, mode of study, semester intake, electives and specialisations may vary. All mandatory university admission and English language requirements must be met before university enrolment is finalised. For more information contact the relevant university. Note: TAFE Queensland students making transition to the degree may need to wait six months to start with the semester one university intake.

To apply for a combined diploma/degree, applicants must select the Diploma of Business/Diploma of Leadership and Management for the relevant TAFE Queensland location on their application and nominate their preferred degree/university (one only). Applicants can list the stand alone diploma or the combined program but not both. Listing more than one is not needed because they have the same eligibility and ATAR/rank requirements.
