Certificate IV in Fitness (incorporating Certificate III in Fitness)

Course outline

Students will learn how to instruct personal training programs, group personal training, and exercise for older clients. Students will also get the hands-on skills and knowledge needed to operate a small personal training business. Note: The South Bank Certificate IV incorporates the Certificate III in Fitness which has a fee subsidy for eligible applicants.

Prerequisites

Completion of Year 12 or attained Year 12 leaving age

Additional entry requirements

Successful applicants will be required to successfully complete SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness before progressing to SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness. Students who hold SIS30315 Certificate III in Fitness, will need to have completed the two group exercise elective units SISFFIT007 Instruct group exercise sessions and SISFFIT011 Instruct approved community fitness programs to meet the entry requirements for SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness.
