This course explores topics in plant physiology, agronomy, plant microbe interactions, soil science, genetics, and post-harvest technologies. Students learn about the impacts of agricultural practices on soil, water and other species to enable them to contribute to the sustainability of the broader agricultural environment. Graduates are aware of the pressures facing food producers in ensuring sufficient, safe and nutritious food for world populations and are prepared for future opportunities and challenges in the agricultural industry.
