Course outline

This degree pairs the Bachelor of Psychological Science with the Master of Mental Health Practice, allowing you to complete an undergraduate and postgraduate qualification in just four years. You’ll gain a thorough grounding in the application of clinical, development, biological, cognitive, social, and organisational psychology. You’ll then build on this broad knowledge base with studies in the growing specialist area of mental health practice. You’ll extend your knowledge of psychological services as they apply to mental illness. You’ll learn the latest evidence-based research and specialised knowledge about health services for people with mental illness. You’ll collaborate with consumers, carers, and mental health professionals in your studies so that you’re prepared for a profession in various settings where mental health knowledge is essential. You’ll undertake a professional practice placement within the field of mental health as part of this degree.
