Course outline

Tailored for enrolled nurses seeking to further their qualifications and expand their career opportunities, this degree will prepare you to transition to registered nurse status in just two years (or part-time equivalent). You’ll learn from leading experts and develop your clinical practice and critical thinking skills to provide excellent nursing care through clinical placements across the health sector. You may also have the opportunity to undertake rural, remote and overseas placements. Griffith is ranked tied first in Australia and third in the world for nursing and midwifery in the 2023 Shanghai Ranking Global Ranking of Academic Subjects. For more course information, visit Bachelor of Nursing at GU.

Note

Admission via the Bachelor of Nursing (Advanced Standing) pathway is competitive as the number of applicants generally exceeds the places available. Diploma of Nursing applicants will be required to complete the Nursing Admission Questionnaire as an additional selection criteria. Students can take this program part-time but attendance at day classes is generally required. Part-time students must be available full-time for professional placements.
