A limited number of places are available for the advanced standing pathway and an additional selection criteria (Nursing Admission Questionnaire) applies. Griffith will email the questionnaire to applicants. Applicants must be eligible for admission into Year 2 with credit transfer, ie hold a Diploma of Nursing from an accredited Australian Education Provider and unconditional registration (without restrictions) as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)—note that registration under the AHPRA Pandemic Response Sub Register is not accepted—or hold a Diploma of Health Care from Griffith College. Internationally Qualified Nurses or applicants with more than one year of Bachelor of Nursing study at an Australian university will be assessed and advised on a case-by-case basis. Internationally Qualified Nurses must demonstrate recency of practice (within a period of five years) and have unconditional registration where they are working as a Registered Nurse. Note: We follow Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) guidelines regarding recency of practice. Applicants must have a minimum of 450 hours accumulated over the past five years. The hours do not need to be continuous. Refer to the program entries on the Griffith website for further details. All Trimester 1 applicants must provide documentary evidence of their eligibility by 8 December 2023. Documentation lodged after this date may not be considered in time for the 11 January offer round. Trimester 2 applicants must provide documentary evidence of their eligibility by 23 May 2024. Documentation lodged after this date may not be included in time for the 6 June offer round. Griffith Guaranteed Admission Schemes do not apply to this program.
English Language Proficiency Requirements: To enrol in this program, you must have attended and satisfactorily completed at least 6 years of primary and secondary education taught and assessed solely in English. At least two years of this education must have been between grades 7 and 12. This education must have been completed in one of the following countries; Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom, United States of America. If you have not met these educational requirements, you are required to provide evidence of an acceptable English Language test or evidence that you are currently registered as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
