This course aims to produce a civil engineer skilled in both high-level engineering design and building design. In this course, students will analyse and design numerous civil infrastructures such as roads, water resources, and buildings taking into account factors such as codes and statutes, infrastructure sustainability, and contracts. This course has a strong focus on learning in context so students will apply theory to authentic scenarios throughout their course including industry projects. During the course, students will complete a major individual project that integrates both civil engineering skills and building design skills to confirm their ability to work as a civil engineer and a building design specialist.
