Course outline

This combined degree produces professional engineers with a solid foundation in engineering principles and the managerial skills to run complex projects. You’ll develop knowledge and skills in your preferred engineering major combined with key business competencies such as organisational behaviour, communication, economics, and quality control. Choose from four engineering majors and eighteen business majors. Skills are enhanced via an industry-based project or placement to prepare students for entry to the workforce. Engineering: civil engineering (Gold Coast, Brisbane South – Nathan); electrical and electronic engineering (Gold Coast); electronic engineering (Brisbane South – Nathan); environmental engineering (Brisbane South – Nathan); mechanical engineering (Gold Coast, Brisbane South – Nathan). Business: Asian engagement; behavioural science; business analytics; economics; employment relations; events; finance; human resource management; innovation and entrepreneurship; logistics and supply chain management; management; marketing; political science and international relations; real estate and property development; sport management; sustainable business; taxation; tourism and travel.
