Course outline

This program helps students to develop the skills, knowledge and experience of an engineer to enable them to deliver practical solutions to real-world problems. Students can apply their knowledge through practical work experience and a final-year research project to encourage valuable industry experience in engineering. Students have the choice of a range of specialties in addition to acquiring skills in problem-solving, analysis, design, construction and management. Note

External students must attend at least one, week-long, residential school in Toowoomba during most years of the program.

External: agricultural engineering; civil engineering; computer systems engineering; electrical and electronic engineering; instrumentation control and automation engineering; mechanical engineering; mechatronic and robotic engineering; power engineering.
Toowoomba: agricultural engineering; civil engineering; computer systems engineering; electrical and electronic engineering; mechanical engineering; mechatronic and robotic engineering; power engineering.
Springfield: civil engineering; electrical and electronic engineering; mechanical engineering; mechatronic and robotic engineering.

Other requirements

Students must complete 60 days of work experience in an engineering workplace.
